Disability Support Worker

We are a small company, servicing a small base of clients in need for in home disability support. We have the need for worker’s in the Bendigo area to add to our team.

We have a range hours / shifts available, some of these which can be customized to suit individual’s availability. Range of hours can be between 10 & 30hrs per week. These positions are on a casual basis. Pay rates are comfortably above the award, with a variety of evening & weekend shifts that attract full penalty rates.

Note, this is not a sole trader position, and you must live in an appropriate travel distance to southern area of Kangaroo Flat.

Disability support worker duties:

The range of duties includes:

· Personal care.

· Hoisting.

· Showering.

· Community outings & appointments.

· Social interaction.

· General house hold duties.

· Companionship.

Personal qualities of the following will be highly regarded:

· Being able to adapt to a changing environment.

· Accepting & adhering to company policy’s.





· Take on board instructions & direction’s in a dynamic setting.

· Accept & take on board constructive criticism.

· Empathetic to the clients needs.

· Caring nature.

· Sleepovers on occasion.

Previous experience in disability care would be highly regarded, but not essential to the right person. Current drivers license and own vehicle is required, with first aid, CPR , and Cert III or equivalent in disability or aged care also desirable. Continuous on the job training, & familiarization will be provided. Police check and working with children / NDIS screen check will also be required.

Two phone references of previous employers / clients would be highly regarded.
