Electrician – Commercial Solar Projects
Solar Suite | Western Australia
About Us
Solar Suite is one of WA’s leading commercial solar companies, delivering large-scale projects with a focus on safety, precision, and long-term performance. We have a skilled ground team and have positive office support in the background. We’re passionate about building a sustainable future—and we know that starts with a skilled, motivated team.
The Role
We’re looking for a qualified Electrician with a positive attitude to join our commercial division. You’ll work alongside multiple Senior Electricians, while confidently leading a team of apprentices and installers on site.
Your responsibilities include:
- Install, maintain and repair electrical systems
- Read technical diagrams and schematics
- Fault finding, testing and commissioning
- Inspect transformers, switchboards, circuit breakers & electrical components
- Preventative and corrective maintenance
- Complete installation & testing documentation
- Mentor apprentices and trade assistants
- Support workshop and site operations as required
- Follow safety procedures, regulations and Australian Standards
You will also oversee solar panel installations to ensure all work is safe, efficient, and of the highest quality. This role is focused on the electrical backbone of projects—inverters, batteries, switchboards,
metering, and associated infrastructure—rather than hands-on roof-based panel installation. You’ll troubleshoot issues, coordinate works, and maintain accurate records and compliance documentation.
What We Offer
- 9-day fortnight roster (every second Friday off)
- Supportive supervisor and motivated team of apprentices
- Safety-focused, innovative company culture
- Optional overtime, regional work, and weekend work
- Growth and role development opportunity
- Pay negotiation possibility after trail period
- Positive office support
What We’re Looking For
- WA Electrical Licence (essential)
- Experience with commercial electrical work (containment, switchboards, and metering highly regarded)
- Proven team leadership and on-site coordination skills
- Strong problem-solving and practical “on the tools” ability
- Excellent safety awareness and record-keeping skills
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
- PV, Battery and Off-grid SAA accreditation (desirable but not essential)
- Working at heights and EWP license (desirable)
Own vehicle and tools required, with generous kms and tool allowances each payday.
