ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a senior leadership role responsible for leading manufacturing operations and improving production planning, workforce capability, safety, quality, delivery performance and continuous improvement.

The Manufacturing Manager will provide practical leadership across the workshop while building the systems, standards and operating disciplines required to support long-term operational performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead manufacturing activities across fabrication, assembly, paint, electrical and commissioning.

- Own production planning, sequencing, resource allocation and schedule adherence.

- Improve manufacturing controls, reporting, workflow, labour productivity and delivery reliability.

- Develop and maintain practical quality controls, inspection points, NCR discipline and corrective action tracking.

- Lead proactive safety systems including structured pre-starts, toolbox communication and compliance reporting.

- Review workforce capability and maintain a rolling 24-month workforce, equipment and infrastructure plan.

- Identify operational constraints and present commercially justified recommendations, budgets and implementation plans.

- Work closely with Project Managers, the COO and internal teams to communicate risks, progress and priorities clearly.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR





- Senior manufacturing leadership experience within heavy industrial, mining equipment, fabrication, engineering or similar environments.

- Strong production planning, scheduling and capacity management capability.

- Experience improving safety, quality, production controls and operational performance.

- Practical, hands-on leadership style with the ability to engage effectively with workshop teams.

- Commercial discipline and confidence preparing business cases, resource plans and budget recommendations.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide early visibility of risks and constraints.

- Trade, engineering, manufacturing or business qualification desirable.
