About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a participant in Gladstone, SA. In this community-based role, you will support the participant to attend volunteer work, occupational therapy appointments, and access the community, while promoting independence, achieving individual goals, and enhancing their quality of life.

What you'll be doing

- Provide high-quality, person-centred 1:1 support to a participant with autism during community access, including volunteer work and occupational therapy appointments.
- Promote independence and support the participant to achieve their individual goals while building confidence within the community.
- Complete accurate documentation, progress notes, and required reporting in line with organisational requirements.
- 12 hours per fortnight, with a consistent roster of every second Monday (9:00 am – 3:00 pm) and every Friday (8:30 am – 12:00 pm).

You're the right person if...

- You enjoy building genuine relationships and providing meaningful, person-centred support that helps participants achieve their goals and maintain independence.
- You have experience supporting people with autism and understand the importance of consistency, communication, and creating a safe and encouraging environment.
- You are confident supporting community participation, including attending appointments and engaging in meaningful activities such as volunteer work.
- You have strong communication skills,



a professional approach, and take pride in delivering high-quality support.
- You hold a current driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle, as travel between Gladstone and Port Pirie is required.
