About the role

Zucci Hairdressing is seeking an experienced Senior Hairdresser to join our dynamic team in South Melbourne VIC. This is a full-time position offering an exceptional opportunity to lead, mentor, and deliver exceptional hairdressing services to our valued clientele. As a Senior Hairdresser, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our salon's reputation for excellence whilst driving innovation and setting professional standards across our team. This position represents a key leadership role within our hair services operation, combining technical expertise with mentorship responsibilities to elevate the quality of service we provide.

What you'll be doing

- Deliver high-quality hairdressing services including cutting, colouring, styling, and treatments to a diverse client base

- Mentor and support junior hairdressers and apprentices, providing guidance on technical skills, customer service, and professional development

- Lead by example, consistently demonstrating exceptional customer service and building strong client relationships

- Maintain and exceed salon standards for hygiene, health and safety, and professional conduct

- Assist with training programs and help develop salon protocols and best practices

- Contribute to the planning and execution of promotional events and salon initiatives

- Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and products to ensure our salon remains at the forefront of hair services

- Support the salon management team with operational matters and client consultation where required

- Maintain meticulous records of client preferences, treatments, and continuity of care

What we're looking for

- Minimum 5+ years of professional hairdressing experience,



with proven expertise in cutting, colouring, and styling techniques

- Recognized hairdressing qualifications or equivalent demonstrated competency in the hair industry

- Proven track record of delivering consistently excellent customer service and building loyal clientele

- Strong mentoring and communication skills with the ability to guide and support junior team members effectively

- Current knowledge of contemporary trends, techniques, and industry best practices in hairdressing

- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities

- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and salon cleanliness

- Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst also demonstrating initiative and independence

- Desirable: Experience in salon management or client consultation, familiarity with salon booking systems, and knowledge of hair and beauty products
