About the role

Cusma Fencing is seeking a skilled and dedicated Fencer to join our team in Geelong, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality fencing solutions to our clients. As a Fencer, you will be responsible for the installation of fencing systems across residential and commercial projects. This role is essential to maintaining Cusma Fencing's reputation for excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction on every project.

What you'll be doing

- Installing and assembling fencing systems including timber, colorbond, aluminium and feature fencing

- Measuring, marking, and preparing sites for fence installation

- Digging post holes and setting posts in concrete

- Cutting, fitting, and securing fencing materials to required specifications

- Following work plans and adhering to safety standards and building regulations

- Operating hand and power tools safely and efficiently

- Transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites

- Maintaining a clean and tidy work site

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Fencer or in a similar fencing installation role or carpentry

- Strong knowledge of various fencing materials and installation methods or willingness to learn

- Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and correctly

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail





- Ability to follow plans and specifications

- Robust work ethic and reliability

- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites within the Geelong, Surfcoast and Bellarine area

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Preferred: experience with multiple fencing types and past experience in the trades industry
