Currently we are looking for a reliable and hardworking Trade Assistant to join our client’s cabinet making factory in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
This is a hands-on role supporting the tradespeople with the manufacture, assembly, handling, and movement of joinery products. It would suit someone who enjoys physical work, works well in a factory environment, and has a willingness to learn.

About the Role
As a Trade Assistant, you will work closely with the factory team to assist with a range of day-to-day tasks, including:

- Assisting tradespeople with the machining and assembly of joinery
- Assembling basic joinery components such as kickers
- Assisting with CNC machining and edging - training provided
- Loading and unloading trucks, both manually and by forklift
- Receiving, sorting,



and storing incoming materials and orders
- Assisting with general factory housekeeping and maintenance

Must Have
To be considered for this role, you must have:

- A current driver's licence
- A current forklift licence
- A current White Card
- The physical capability to perform manual handling tasks, including loading and unloading trucks

Desired Skills and Attributes
We are looking for someone with:

- A basic understanding of hand and power tools
- An understanding of a manufacturing or factory environment
- A basic understanding of joinery
- Basic computer skills
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to work well as part of a team

Bonus Points
It would be an advantage if you also have:

- An MR truck licence
