Your new role
As the Facilities Coordinator, you will act as the primary after-hours point of contact for facilities issues across a major site. Working on a rostered basis, you will assess and triage faults, incidents and service disruptions, coordinate emergency contractor responses, and implement temporary measures to minimise operational risk.
- Receiving and managing after-hours facilities and engineering incidents
- Assessing risk, priority and operational impact of faults and breakdowns
- Coordinating emergency repairs with contractors and service providers
- Implementing temporary solutions where immediate repairs are not possible
- Escalating significant issues and providing detailed handovers
- Maintaining accurate incident records and stakeholder communications
- Supporting after-hours event operations and facility requirements
- Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and safety procedures
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in facilities, building operations or engineering services, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing facilities or engineering incidents and emergency responses
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fire and building services systems
- Strong stakeholder management and contractor coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- A sound understanding of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
- The ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement
- Availability to participate in an after-hours roster, including weekends and public holidays
