ICE Engineering (part of the Tasmea Group) is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for upcoming commissioning, maintenance and project works at Olympic Dam.

About the Role

Reporting to the Site Superintendent, Mechanical Fitters will support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical equipment across site.

You will work closely with engineering, commissioning, and site teams to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment

- Maintenance and repair of pumps, valves, rotating equipment and plant systems

- Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical systems

- Support shutdown,



project, and commissioning activities

- Interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation

- Ensure work is completed in line with site safety and compliance requirements

- Complete inspection records, job documentation, and work packs

Skills & Experience

To be considered for upcoming opportunities, you will ideally have:

- Mechanical Trade Certificate

- Previous experience in mining, oil & gas, construction or heavy industry environments

- Experience with rotating equipment, pumps, valves, or plant maintenance

- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical fault-finding skills

- Experience working within shutdown, maintenance, or commissioning teams

Mandatory Requirements

- Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification

- Current Drivers Licence

- White Card

- National Police Clearance (within 6 months or willing to obtain)

- Working at Heights and Enter & Work in Confined Spaces (completed within the last two years is desirable)

- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
