THE ROLE
Our AV team partners with clients from initial creative concept through to event delivery and post-event debrief, delivering exceptional event experiences of all sizes and complexities while bringing innovative technical solutions to life. In this role, you will be responsible for the following key areas:
- Set up, operate and configure vision systems (cameras, vision switching, projection, LED screens and video processing), alongside audio and lighting equipment, across a range of event environments
- Manage signal routing, screen mapping and video system integration to ensure a polished visual presentation for every event
- Plan and coordinate event delivery, including bump in, operation and bump out
- Support the Vision Technical Leader lead a team of technicians, providing clear direction and technical guidance, with a particular focus on vision best practice
- Manage client expectations and act as the key contact for all AV requirements during events,
including vision design and show presentation
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members, suppliers and clients
- Support the Vision Technical Leader in overseeing the day-to-day operational requirements of the AV department, with an emphasis on the care and calibration of the vision inventory
- Maximise utilisation and care of the venue's AV inventory and equipment, including cameras, switchers, LED processors, projectors and video signal infrastructure
- Remain current with industry trends, emerging technologies and new audio visual products, particularly developments in LED, projection mapping and video over IP
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong technical capability, proven event delivery experience and a collaborative leadership approach. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Minimum four years' experience in the AV industry, ideally within a large entertainment or event venue, with a strong grounding in vision and video production
- Demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of large scale events, including complex vision system design
- Strong technical knowledge across vision (camera operation, vision switching, LED, projection, video over IP), with sound working knowledge of audio and lighting production systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot vision and system issues and implement effective solutions under pressure
- Flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights and weekends
- Skilled presentation suited to a corporate event environment
- Genuine passion for mentoring and leading less experienced technicians, particularly in vision skills and practice
