Senior Project Officer

- Help shape solutions to issues affecting NSW border communities

- Bring your stakeholder engagement, policy and project delivery expertise to the Office Cross Border Commissioner

- Full-time ongoing, Clerk Grade 9/10 ($133,348 - $146,945 per annum) opportunity, based in cross-border communities or regional NSW with access to a NSW government office or Sydney CBD, with flexible work arrangements available.

Lead projects and stakeholder engagement to help solve complex cross-border issues and improve outcomes for regional communities across NSW.

About the Role
Join the Office of the Cross-Border Commissioner and play a key role in helping address issues that impact communities, businesses and government services across NSW border regions. Working across a diverse range of policy and service delivery matters, you'll engage with government agencies, local councils, community stakeholders and interstate counterparts to identify practical solutions to complex cross-border challenges.

As a Senior Project Officer, you will lead research, stakeholder engagement and project delivery activities, provide high-quality advice and briefings, and contribute to initiatives that improve outcomes for regional and rural communities. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex issues with visibility across multiple jurisdictions and levels of government.

We're Looking For

- Project Delivery and Coordination: Experience managing or coordinating projects, programs or initiatives in a complex environment. You can balance competing priorities, work across multiple stakeholders and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Experience building productive relationships with stakeholders across government, local councils, community organisations and industry groups. You can work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders,



navigate differing perspectives and build consensus to progress outcomes
- Research, Analysis and Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and experience investigating complex policy, service delivery or operational issues. You can assess information from multiple sources, identify key risks and opportunities, and develop practical recommendations
- Communication and Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare briefs, reports, correspondence and presentations for senior leaders. You can communicate complex information clearly and tailor your approach to different audiences
- Judgement and Initiative: Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and respond effectively to emerging issues. Experience working in government, policy, strategy, stakeholder engagement or project-focused roles will be highly regarded.
