About the role

Brown Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our client on a project in the South-east of Brisbane, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial leadership role on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction operations, managing teams, coordinating resources and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and quality. This role is integral to the success of our projects and offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on construction excellence. The first project will be a multi-level commercial building which is structural, refurbishment and fit out.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate and oversee all daily construction activities on site to ensure projects progress according to schedule

- Manage and supervise construction teams, including labourers, tradespersons and contractors, ensuring effective communication and performance standards

- Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols, conducting regular site inspections and toolbox meetings to maintain a safe working setting

- Monitor project budgets and costs, tracking expenditures and reporting variances to management

- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations and contractual requirements

- Quality assurance of work performed, conducting inspections and resolving defects promptly

- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors to maintain positive relationships and resolve issues

- Manage site administration, including permits, documentation, records and reporting

- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used and labour hours

- Respond to incidents and accidents, ensuring appropriate reporting and corrective actions

What we're looking for





- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Foreman in the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety protocols and building regulations relevant to Queensland

- QBCC Medium Supervisor Licence

- Someone who is quick on program and has the ability to organise multiple trades

- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders

- Sound understanding of budgeting, cost control and financial reporting

- Current driver's licence

- Relevant construction certifications or qualifications such as a Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card) or equivalent

- Demonstrated commitment to health and safety excellence on site

- Problem-solving abilities and strong decision-making skills under pressure

- Preferred: Experience with residential, commercial or civil construction projects in the Brisbane area
