The opportunity
Di Candilo Steel City is seeking an experienced Laser Operator to join our growing production team. This is a hands-on role operating laser cutting machines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Laser Leading Hand, your responsibilities will include:
Operating CNC laser cutting machines.
Loading and unloading steel plate.
Selecting the correct material and ensuring traceability.
Performing quality checks on finished components.
Carrying out daily machine maintenance and housekeeping.
Working safely while meeting production targets.
Assisting with other workshop duties as required.

About You

To be successful in this role,



you will have:
Previous experience operating CNC laser, plasma or profile cutting machines (preferred).
Experience in a steel fabrication or manufacturing setting.
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (preferred).
A strong work ethic with a willingness to learn.
Excellent attention to detail.
A commitment to workplace safety and quality.
A forklift licence (essential).
