We are currently seeking an experienced Night Shift Loader to join our client's team in Kewdale. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with direct steel loading experience who understands the importance of accuracy, safety, and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Load trucks and trailers by hand, forklift, and overhead crane according to supplied paperwork.
Operate overhead cranes (full training provided – no crane ticket required).
Operate forklifts (predominantly 2.5T counterbalance forklifts).
Pick and load orders using paper-based manifests.
Move trucks and vehicles between loading bays and nearby buildings as required.
Restrain and secure loads to ensure compliance with transport safety standards.
Maintain a safe and organised work area while following company procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Direct steel loading experience (essential).
A current Forklift Licence with proven operating experience.
A minimum of an HR Driver’s Licence (HC or MC licences are highly desirable).
A reliable vehicle and the ability to travel to and from night shift.
The ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screening (DAS).
A robust commitment to workplace safety.
