Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to administer our Youth and Community Empowerment section (graduates are welcome to apply) and join our team.

Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and challenges faced by individuals, families, and communities.
Develop and implement tailored support plans to address identified needs, ensuring the provision of necessary resources and services.
Collaborate with community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to coordinate and deliver social and community services effectively.
Provide counseling, guidance, and advocacy to individuals and families, empowering them to overcome obstacles and improve their quality of life.
Organize and facilitate educational workshops, support groups, and community events to promote social inclusion and enhance community engagement.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes.
Stay informed about relevant social policies, legislation, and resources to provide accurate information and referrals to clients.

Qualifications:




Degree or certificate in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field preferred (or experience working towards qualifications)
Demonstrated experience in youth, social and community services, preferably with experience working with Indigenous Australian communities.
Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with individuals from various backgrounds.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information and provide support.
Empathetic and compassionate nature, with the ability to handle sensitive and challenging situations with professionalism and care.
Knowledge of community resources, social service programs, and relevant legislation.
Proficiency in using computer systems and software for documentation and data management.
Understanding of trauma-informed care principles and practices.
Experience with case management and data recording standards.
