Hendra, Brisbane | Full-Time | Workshop-Based Role
Love working on vehicles, fitting accessories, and getting stuck into practical work?
We're looking for a mechanically minded Trades Assistant to join our Fleet team in Hendra. Supporting a fleet of 400+ vehicles, plant and equipment, you'll play a key role in preparing vehicles, fitting accessories, assisting with repairs, and keeping our fleet ready for the road.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has a genuine interest in vehicles, and wants a reliable, long-term role in a busy workshop environment.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are exactly the same, but your work may include:
Fitting roof racks, toolboxes and vehicle accessories
Installing beacons and carrying out basic wiring tasks
Assisting Mechanics with vehicle repairs and maintenance
Completing minor modifications and vehicle fit-outs
Preparing vehicles and equipment for deployment
Supporting workshop and storage area operations
Working independently once trained and confident in your tasks
What We're Looking For
You don't need to be a qualified mechanic, but you'll be someone who enjoys working on vehicles and isn't afraid to pick up the tools.
You'll bring:
A strong mechanical aptitude and practical mindset
Experience using hand and power tools
An interest in vehicles, machinery or equipment
A current unrestricted manual driver's licence
The ability to work independently and take initiative
A reliable, hands-on approach to work
Desirable but not essential:
Auto electrical experience
Forklift licence
MR or HR licence
