We are looking for an assistant accountant for our long established accounting practice in Buderim QLD.

We are a boutique firm of 4 people currently and we are needing to add to our team.

The position is part-time, with a minimum of 20hrs per week, with additional hours to be negotiated with the right applicant, if requested. This could also develop into a full time roll in the future. This is an in-office role, not work from home.

You will be performing the following tasks under supervision of the Principal Accountant:
Preparing tax returns for individuals, investors & sole traders
Preparing financial statements & tax returns for small business entities
Preparing business activity statements for small business entities
You will need to be versatile in your expectations, as no job is too small for anyone in our firm.

What we require from you:
Experience with accounting software programs - MYOB,



Quickbooks & Xero
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office
Qualifications should be at least an Advanced Diploma in Accounting or Bachelor Degree in Accounting
2 years minimum Australian public practice experience
Solid organisational skills & attention to detail
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn current things

Position remuneration will depend on qualifications and experience and is provided as a guide only.

There will be a probationary period of 6 months, at which time your performance will be reviewed.
