We are a growing Asian food importer and distributor located in Archerfield, QLD. We are currently seeking an experienced Delivery Driver to join our warehouse team.
Responsible for:
Driving heavy vehicles and delivery of goods to customers to and from different destinations to collect and deliver goods.
Maintain all driving records including working time and travelling distance and carry the current diary whilst driving.
Operates a winch, hoist, or other equipment to unload or load truck.
May collect payment, or a receipt for goods picked up.
Follow all traffic and safety regulations.
Accountabilities and Associated Responsibilities:
Driving heavy vehicles in order to fulfil organisation's commitments and service agreements with customers.
Delivering bulk goods to customers, other organisations and institutions. Assisting with loading or unloading operations using various lifting devices e.g. forklift.
Maintaining driving records which include working hours and travelling distance.
Carry the travelling diary for the previous 28 days of work and vehicle maintenance logs whilst driving at all time
Submit a copy of your daily worksheet to the company upon completion of delivery
Reporting vehicle maintenance needs
Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring a safe distribution of weight within the vehicle
Obtaining proof of delivery for items delivered
May collect payments from customers and return daily to responsible persons
Comply with the maximum working hours and all traffic and safety regulations
Must avoid driving, parking and other traffic offences
Skills Required
Essential:
Appropriate Heavy Vehicle Driver's Licence (HR / MR Licence) § Physical fitness§ Familiarity of metropolitan areas and routes§ Must have good driving record, WHS and protected driving awareness
