Cook Grade 2 (Level 3)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cook Grade 2 (Level 3) to join our kitchen team. This role is responsible for performing a range of general cooking duties and assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality meals while maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.

The successful applicant will possess the appropriate level of training and experience to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen workplace.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present food in accordance with recipes, menu requirements, and quality standards.
Perform general cooking duties including grilling, frying, and food preparation.
Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures.
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas.
Assist in receiving, storing, and handling food supplies.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure effective service delivery.





Skills and ExperienceEssential
Appropriate cookery qualifications, training, or equivalent industry experience.
Sound knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, as required.

Desirable
Current Food Safety Certificate.
Experience working in hospitality

Employment Conditions

This position is classified as Cook Grade 2 (Level 3) under the relevant Award and will be remunerated in accordance with applicable pay rates and employment conditions.

Pay: From $34.96 per hour
