Our Client Thai Point Bli Bli is a well-established and popular Thai restaurant located in the heart of Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast. We are passionate about delivering authentic Thai cuisine, exceptional customer service, and a memorable dining experience. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef/Cook to join our qualified kitchen team on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook and present authentic Thai dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
Assist with menu planning and contribute new menu ideas and seasonal specials.
Prepare ingredients and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness in accordance with Australian food safety regulations.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation.
Ensure effective kitchen operations during busy service periods.
Minimise food wastage through effective portion control and stock management.
Supervise and assist junior kitchen staff where required.
Ensure all equipment is maintained and used safely.
Work collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff to provide excellent customer service.
Skills & ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you should have:
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma of Hospitality Management, or at least three years of relevant full-time experience.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
What We Offer Full-time permanent position.
Annual salary between $78,000 and $83,000, plus superannuation.
