We are looking for a confident, hands-on Senior Duty Manager / Assistant Manager to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team, delivering exceptional customer service, and taking ownership of restaurant operations.
About the Role
Initial employment will be on a casual basis.
For the right candidate, the role will transition into a permanent part time position.
We are looking for someone seeking a long-term career, not a short-term job.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, Restaurant Manager or Café Manager.
Applications from candidates with only waiter/waitress experience will not be considered.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Current NSW RSA.
Australian residents only.
Applicants must be available to work:
Fridays
Saturday morning and lunch service
Sundays
One or two weekdays (to be agreed together based on business needs and your availability).
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the restaurant during service.
Support the Restaurant Manager with the day-to-day operation of the venue.
Train, mentor and motivate the front-of-house team.
Ensure excellent customer service and smooth floor operations.
Maintain robust communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Monitor staff performance and ensure H2O Café Restaurant’s service standards are consistently followed.
Handle customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
