Kitchen Staff – Fish Boy Hawthorne

Location: Hawthorne, BrisbanePosition: Casual / Part-Time (with the opportunity for more hours)

Fish Boy Hawthorne is a busy, family-owned fish and chip restaurant looking for a reliable and motivated Kitchen Team Member to join our crew.

We’re searching for someone who enjoys working in a rapid-paced environment, takes pride in producing quality food, and works well as part of a team.

What you’ll be doing:
Preparing and cooking fish, seafood, burgers and other menu items
Operating deep fryers and grills
Preparing salads and other fresh ingredients
Maintaining a clean, organised and food-safe kitchen
Assisting with stock rotation and food preparation
Working efficiently during busy service periods
Supporting the team wherever needed

What we’re looking for:




Previous commercial kitchen experience is preferred (but we’re happy to train the right person)
Able to work well under pressure
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Robust attention to detail
Positive attitude and good communication skills
Available to work nights, weekends and public holidays
Food safety knowledge is an advantage
