The Role
We’re seeking a Casual Factory Processor to join our operations team at Mareeba. This is a hands on role supporting both factory processing and farm activities, ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, variety and being part of a production team.
You’ll be involved in transforming harvested leaf into high-quality dried spices, oils and hydrosols, while maintaining food safety, quality and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor processing equipment (dryers, stills and related machinery)
Record production and quality data accurately
Weigh, pack, seal and label finished products
Prepare orders for dispatch, including palletising
Maintain cleanliness of production and storage areas
Assist with farm tasks such as harvesting and general field work
Follow all food safety, quality assurance and WHS procedures
Operate a forklift safely (where licensed)
Skills & Experience
Interest in practical, hands-on work
Experience working with machinery or in a factory / farm environment (preferred)
Forklift licence desirable (or willingness to obtain)
Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
Reliable, safety focused and detail oriented
Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions
