Senior Legal Counsel – Renewable Energy Projects. Our client is a leading renewable energy developer and investor with a diverse portfolio of projects. With an ambitious pipeline of developments and a commitment to accelerating Australia’s energy transition, they are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their high-performing team.

Base pay range

A$220,000.00/yr - A$280,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
Lead and manage legal aspects of M&A; transactions , including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and corporate structuring.
Advise on property and land access arrangements , including leasing, easements, and landowner negotiations.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts relevant to renewable energy development.
Provide strategic legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including development, finance, and operations teams,



to support project delivery.
Engage and manage external legal advisors where required.

Qualifications
Qualified lawyer with 7+ years PQE (private practice and/or in-house).
Robust background in corporate/M&A; law , ideally with exposure to infrastructure or energy projects.
Experience in property law and land access matters.
Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
A genuine interest in the renewable energy sector and contributing to the energy transition.
