Gilani Engineering is seeking a skilled and reliable Automobile Electrician to support vehicle electrical installations, diagnostics, and modifications within our workshop operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the engineering and production team to ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair vehicle electrical systems and components
Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment
Perform wiring, rewiring, and installation of accessories and control systems
Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings
Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards
Assist with vehicle modifications and specialized engineering projects
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
Requirements
Proven experience as an Automobile Electrician or similar role
Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and diagnostics
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Positive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and within a team workplace
Preferred (Advantageous)
Experience in commercial, modified, or specialized vehicles
Familiarity with Australian vehicle standards
Relevant trade certification
Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Wetherill Park NSW 2164 or be planning to relocate prior to commencement.
