SEI Australia Pty Ltd is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to support our operations. The position is located in Thomastown, VIC (hybrid).

Job Duties And Responsibilities
Identify recent business opportunities and expand the existing client base.
Build and maintain solid relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
Support the development and execution of sales strategies.
Prepare proposals, tenders, and quotations.
Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet sales targets.
Conduct needs analysis to understand customer challenges.
Deliver pre-sales technical expertise, presentations, and product demonstrations.
Simplify complex technical information for non-technical audiences.
Provide post-sales support, including system deployment, training, and troubleshooting.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients.
Gather customer feedback to improve existing products and inform current development.

Required Qualifications
Excellent English communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Solid technical background in IT or telecom infrastructure.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.




Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Australian citizenship or permanent residency (unrestricted work rights required).

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in optical communication products or fiber optic technology.
Familiarity with Japanese business culture.
Previous experience in technical sales or business development within the telecom or IT industry.
Ability to travel interstate or internationally when required.
