Senior Cloud Engineer / Cloud Technical Lead (AWS & Azure) with Australian Citizenship - Canberra

Contract: 6 months + 6 months extension

Requirement: Australian Citizenship mandatory

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer / Cloud Technical Lead to deliver secure cloud solutions across AWS and Microsoft Azure within a complex enterprise environment.

This is a hands‑on role covering cloud platform engineering, automation, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud uplift initiatives. You will act as a technical SME, support engineering best practices, and collaborate with architects, security teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Design, build and support AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions
Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitOps practices
Embed cloud security,



compliance and governance controls
Troubleshoot complex cloud platform issues and drive improvements
Provide technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge sharing

Required Experience
5+ years’ Cloud Engineering / Platform Engineering / DevOps experience
Solid hands‑on AWS and Microsoft Azure experiencei>
Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation or similar)
Solid CI/CD, automation and DevSecOps experience
Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Highly regarded
Federal Government or regulated workplace experience
Cloud optimisation / FinOps experience
AWS / Azure certifications

Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
