Shipley Smash Repairs is currently seeking to recruit qualified and experienced Panel Beater to join their team in Caloundra West QLD.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
Remove damaged panels and parts, and remove upholstery and accessories to gain access
Remove dents by hammering panels
Straighten damaged vehicles and parts using mechanical and hydraulic equipment
Replace badly damaged sections with recent or second-hand panels
Fill depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces
Cut and join replacement sections using welding equipment
Fit repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and refit body hardware such as door locks and trims
Assist vehicle body builders in constructing and restoring custom-designed,



vintage and other specialty - vehicles
Assists spray-paint vehicles

Skills & Abilities:
Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent
Ideally have a minimum of three years’ experience as a qualified Panel Beater
A strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
The ability to work in a team workplace

Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate on skills and experience
