McKinlay Shire Council seeks to employ a Casual Cleaner. The position is based in Julia Creek and will entail the cleaning of various Council Buildings as well as domestic cleaning for the Council operated Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and the Julia Creek Caravan Park. This role is ideal for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a clean and safe environment for our staff and community.
About the Role:
Casual position – hours will vary based on operational needs.
Minimum of 25 hours per week.
Responsible for cleaning council buildings, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
Duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and waste management.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential).
Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules.
Strong attention to detail and reliability.
Understanding of safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals.
