The role of Finance is to support the appropriate stewardship of the University’s finance through the provision of a strategic financial advice, establishment of a financial management framework, financial management tools, procurement, management of the University’s Investment and Endowment portfolio, as well as financial oversight and accountability for finance and human resources administrative and transactional operations.

Responsibilities
Play a key role in shaping and embedding new procurement systems, processes, and ways of working as part of a energetic and evolving procurement environment.
Work collaboratively with academics, researchers, and key stakeholders to source specialist goods and services that underpin cutting‑edge research and education.
Full‑time appointment on an ongoing basis.
Base salary range: $108,413 – $120,287 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
Deliver a customer‑centric procurement service that enables UWA to buy responsibly, efficiently and safely and achieve value for money supporting our people, purpose and place.
Coordinate the University’s market processes including planning and managing the open period, and leading the evaluation and recommendation processes,



in consultation with Category Managers and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Procurement Policy.
Prepare procurement and contract documentation to support the delivery of procurement initiatives, procurement processes and variations.

Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated equivalent competency in procurement.
Substantial relevant experience with procurement systems and processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage relevant stakeholders.
Excellent planning and organisational skills.
