Key Responsibilities
Measure areas, consult plans and estimate quantities of floor covering materials.
Prepare surfaces, remove baseboard trims, and cut or orient materials.
Measure, cut and fix underlay materials.
Lay coverings such as carpets, linoleum, parquet blocks, cork tiles and other resilient flooring materials; match patterns, cut shapes around fixtures and trim edges.
Secure floor coverings and fit edge trims in doorways.
Sand, stain and apply finishing coatings to timber floors; may install wall, ceiling, counter and bench coverings.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualification or over 3 years of experience in floor finishing.
Certification: AQF Certificate III with at least two years of on‑job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).
Construction OHS card (white card) – company will assist in obtaining.
Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle for site transport.
Commercial‑grade tools supplied and maintained (tool allowance included).

Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Team‑player while capable of working unsupervised.
High attention to detail and reliability.
Ability to manage own time and coordinate with other team members to meet agreed timeframes.

Salary range $79,499 – $95,389 based on qualifications and experience, plus overtime where applicable.
