About Chance
As Senior Safety Advisor, you'll coordinate and help implement health and safety systems across the project, reporting to the Health & Safety Manager. You'll identify hazards, assess risks and recommend controls to the delivery team, while supporting the zone safety advisor and safety trainee. Working closely with project teams, subcontractors and the Alliance Management Team, you'll help embed safety as a core value across the workplace.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
Identify hazards and manage risk controls
Review and approve Safe Work Method Statements
Support the H&S; Management Plan and compliance
Investigate incidents and close out corrective actions
Deliver training and toolbox talks to crews
Guide the zone safety advisor and safety trainee
Drive continuous improvement in safety culture
Required Skills and Competencies
Diploma of Work Health & Safety or related field
Current Construction Induction Training (White Card)
Advanced First Aid certificate, kept current
Experience in a senior safety role on construction projects
Strong knowledge of H&S; legislation and standards
