Your new company Join a large Queensland Government organisation delivering innovative digital and cloud transformation initiatives. You'll be part of a modern technology team focused on improving service delivery through cloud-native platforms, automation and emerging technologies. This is a Brisbane-based contract prospect offering an initial term to December 31st 2026 with potential extensions, with the opportunity to contribute to a significant program of work focused on up-to-date cloud engineering, automation and AI-enabled services. Previous Queensland Government or broader State Government experience will be highly regarded.
Your recent role As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you'll help build the cloud foundations that enable new digital products and AI-enabled services to move from concept to production. Working across engineering, architecture and security teams, you'll drive Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD automation and cloud best practices while helping shape DevOps standards across the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong AWS cloud engineering experience
Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise
Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling
GitHub, GitOps and DevSecOps experience
Python and/or Bash scripting skills
Strong understanding of networking, security and cloud operations
Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable: AWS and/or Terraform certifications
Kafka, Azure or data platform experience
Exposure to AI/ML, analytics or modern platform technologies
