Are you a passionate Biomedical Engineer looking to make a direct, meaningful impact on patient care and clinical outcomes?

We are partnering with a highly regarded healthcare organisation in Melbourne to recruit an experienced Biomedical Engineer on a 12-month initial contract. In this role, you will join a collaborative clinical engineering team dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery through the maintenance, servicing, and management of critical medical equipment.

About the Role

As a Biomedical Engineer, you will be the backbone of equipment reliability and safety. Your primary focus will be the preventative maintenance, repair, calibration, and troubleshooting of essential medical devices - with a solid emphasis on infusion pumps and patient monitors. You will work hand-in-hand with clinical staff, acting as the technical expert to ensure equipment compliance and optimal performance every single day.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on critical medical equipment.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical faults efficiently to minimize equipment downtime.
Compliance & Safety: Conduct rigorous performance verification, calibration,



and safety testing to meet strict Australian Standards and hospital policies.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date service documentation and asset records.
Clinical Support: Provide hands-on technical support, guidance, and training to clinical staff.
Project Support: Assist with the commissioning, upgrading, and installation of current medical technologies.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills:
Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Biomedical Engineering or a highly related technical field.
Experience: Proven, hands-on experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and servicing.
Technical Skills: Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
Compliance Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of medical device safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build solid relationships with clinical teams.
Work Style: Ability to work autonomously while remaining an active, collaborative part of a multidisciplinary team.
