Hourly Rate: $53.59 per hour (inclusive of casual loading)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Governance Officer to join a dynamic Governance, Compliance and Risk team based in Darwin. This role will support the delivery and continuous improvement of governance frameworks, ensuring robust compliance, reporting, and organisational best practice.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development, review, and communication of policies and procedures
Assist in delivering planning and reporting cycles, including annual and quarterly reporting
Contribute to corporate, strategic, and parliamentary reporting processes
Maintain and monitor governance registers using contemporary reporting tools
Coordinate cross-team collaboration and facilitate stakeholder engagement
Assist in the delivery of governance training and capability development initiatives
Support implementation and ongoing monitoring of governance frameworks
About You
Advanced Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance (or equivalent experience)
Robust written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex governance concepts clearly
Proven experience in governance, compliance, or risk-related roles
Ability to coordinate training sessions and stakeholder meetings
Excellent organisational, time management, and planning skills
Experience within government or complex organisational environments is highly regarded.
Exposure to Aboriginal organisations or cross-cultural environments is advantageous.
