Horsham Rural City Council is a vibrant municipality located approximately 300 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. The majority of its 19,880 residents are located in Horsham, a hub for health care, niche retail, education and schooling, community services, arts, sports and culture.

The region is a significant producer of dryland, broad-acre cereals and agriculture is one of the region's main industries. About the Role

This role is the first public point of contact to Horsham Rural City Council, located in the Civic Centre. The successful applicant/s will provide high-quality customer service and administration support to the Civic Centre staff and customers. Duties include cashier, telephone, and other general reception services.



With the Customer Service team being the main point of contact for our customers, we respond to, at times, large volumes of customer requests via several channels. Being able to multi-task and prioritise is essential. Explicit communication is also a key part of this role.

Desired Skills and Experience

The successful applicant/s will have a minimum Year 12 education. Relevant customer service experience in highly visible, public and customer-focused industries (retail, banking and hospitality) is advantageous. You are a team player, flexible and solution focused. Having a customer centric attitude is something that you are passionate about.
