Position: Regional Housekeeping Manager
Salary: Up to £20k + use of pool vehicle
Location: Multi-site (London and Surrey areas)
Hours: Part-time, evening hours.
Reports to: Head of Facilities
Overview
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the effective delivery, supervision, and continuous improvement of cleaning and hygiene standards across a defined region of nurseries. The role provides direct leadership to both static and mobile housekeeping teams, ensuring consistent standards, effective infection control response, and high‑quality cleaning delivery. The postholder will play a key role in maintaining secure, clean, and compliant nursery environments, with a particular focus on audits, deep cleaning, and rapid response to infection‑control requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise housekeeping teams across multiple sites.
Implement and monitor cleaning protocols and infection‑control measures.
Conduct audits, deep cleaning and quality checks to maintain high standards.
Coordinate mobile team schedules and ensure resource availability.
Essential Qualifications
Experience supervising or managing cleaning/housekeeping teams.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage teams across multiple sites.
Flexible and calm approach in reactive situations.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience within early years, education, or care environments.
Experience working in a hygiene‑critical environment (e.g. childcare, education, healthcare, hospitality).
Experience conducting cleaning audits or quality checks.
Basic Health & Safety or COSHH training.
Experience managing mobile teams.
