We are a fast-paced ophthalmology practice in the Pacific Square Centre, Maroubra, looking for 2 articulate friendly Orthoptists to join and complement our group.
We at the Eastern Eye Centre, have been offering exceptional patient care for over 25 years. Our focus is to always provide a superior clinical service within a caring setting. Becoming part of a team of six Orthoptists, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our 8 fabulous Ophthalmologists whilst meeting all the clinical expectations of our patients.
We have the chance to offer 2 roles one Full time and one part time position, the diversity and nature of our practice offers a real opportunity to expand your clinical skills and grow within our practice.
Our practice offers a wide range of sub specialty services including cataract, cornea,
oculoplastic, paediatric ophthalmology, adult and paediatric strabismus, medical retina and glaucoma.
Responsibilities
Assessing visual acuity
IOP measurements
Visual fields
OCT
Pentacam
Fluorescein angiography
Immersion/contact biometry
IOL Master
Subjective refractions
Assisting with intravitreal injections and minor oculoplastic procedures
Post-operative care
Qualifications & Training
Completed B. App. Sc (Orthoptics) / Master of Orthoptics
New graduates are welcome to apply; full training will be provided if required
Ophthalmic assistants and Optometrists also welcome to apply as full training will be provided
