Job Description

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will ensure the provision of a high-quality education and care program that meets the approved learning frameworks and National Quality Standards set by the Victorian Government, and support an inclusive and safe setting for children where innovation, creativity, active play and resilience are encouraged.

Early Childhood Educator Hours

17.75 hours per week
14 hours contact time (Monday & Tuesday: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm)
3.75 hours non-contact time (negotiable spread across the week)

Knowledge of early childhood development and practice
Knowledge of approved learning frameworks, National Quality Framework and national law and regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A solid knowledge of inclusive practices
Knowledge that paramount consideration requirements of children's safety, rights and best interests are a statutory duty.





Mandatory Qualifications, Experience and Requirements
Minimum Certificate III in Children's Services from an ACECQA approved training organization.
Demonstrated experience working with children and families.
Experience in assisting in the development and implementation of an educational program in accordance with approved learning frameworks.
Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Child Safe Standards and understanding of how this impacts on daily practice.
Excellent skills in verbal and written communication with children, staff and the wider community.
Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with all staff.
Ability to manage risks and identify health and safety issues pertaining to workplace.
A current level II First Aid qualification, including Asthma, Anaphylaxis and CPR.
Mandatory Reporting training and Geccko Early Childhood Compliance training.
