Residential Care – Laundry Assistant

Role Overview

As a Laundry Assistant at RSL LifeCare, you will make a meaningful difference to people’s lives. You will work in a supportive environment where compassion is valued and professional development is prioritized.

Responsibilities
Sort contents of washing bags and trolleys, indicate contents on laundry dockets, then wash, iron, fold, and pack.
Clean daily all clothing dryer lint filters.
Check supply of cleaning chemicals and fill containers as required.
Assist with production flow: wash, dry, fold, pack, sort, deliver, and disperse clothing and associated healthcare accessories as directed.
Assist in packing and ordering linen.
Prepare for the next week by punching docket sheets and filling folders.
Assist in cleaning machinery and general laundry area.
Ensure secure handling and use of chemicals.

About You
Demonstrated compassion and empathy.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work efficiently and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
Australian working rights.
Valid Police Check or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check (or both).
