Job Description

AECOM’s ICT & Security practice is expanding. This senior‑level consultant will lead the design of communications and security solutions for Defence and Federal Government projects. You will represent the discipline in client meetings, deliver compliant design packages, manage workshops, and contribute to the technical quality of the team.

Responsibilities
Lead the development of communications and security designs from concept through detailed construction documentation.
Apply knowledge of AS/NZS 11801, AS/CA S009, DCCS, and DCRS to deliver compliant, buildable designs.
Hold workshops and client design meetings, providing clear technical advice and managing stakeholder expectations.
Mentor junior and intermediate staff and contribute to quality reviews across the practice.
Represent the discipline in client meetings and contribute to the technical quality of the team.

Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering, communications, or mechatronics.
Hands‑on experience delivering integrated ICT infrastructure,



structured cabling, OSP, and physical security systems in complex built‑workplace projects.
AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance with a explicit pathway to NV1.
Working towards RPEQ, SCEC registration, or RCDD/AVIXA accreditation is an advantage.
Experience with Systems Safety and WHS planning in regulated environments is desirable.
Three to five years in a Defence environment is desirable, but quality of design experience is more important than the number of years.
