This is a part‑time, on‑site Psychologist role located in Hillside VIC. The Psychologist will provide individual therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents on the autism spectrum and related presentations, while offering support and guidance to their families. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments for autism and learning difficulties, developing treatment and support plans, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The role involves liaising with families, schools, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and advocate for clients’ needs. The Psychologist will participate in case discussions, contribute to service development, and engage in ongoing skilled learning to ensure evidence‑based practice.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Psychology, including child and adolescent development and neurodiversity‑informed practice.
Competence in Psychological Assessment,
particularly in autism spectrum assessments and evaluations of learning difficulties.
Skills in Counseling and Mental Health support, including delivering individual therapy and family‑focused interventions.
Relevant knowledge in Medicine and allied health collaboration to support holistic care and multidisciplinary coordination.
Registration or eligibility for registration as a Psychologist with the appropriate skilled board or authority.
Experience working with children, adolescents, and families, ideally within autism and learning difficulty contexts.
Strong communication, rapport‑building, and interpersonal skills with clients, families, and colleagues.
Ability to work independently in a clinical setting while contributing to a collaborative team setting.
Commitment to ethical practice, cultural responsiveness, and continuous professional development.
