Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join their team on a full‑time contract through to June 2027. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting operations by ensuring the efficient procurement and supply of goods and services, helping deliver essential projects and services on time and within budget.

About the Role
Manage procurement activities in line with policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
Coordinate inventory management and biannual stocktakes using the TechOne system.
Liaise with procurement organisations and suppliers to achieve cost savings, sustainability outcomes and reduced procurement risk.
Deliver procurement training and guidance to staff.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and stores functions.
Ensure depots and stores operate safely and efficiently.
Maintain adequate stock levels to support operations, including emergency and disaster response activities.
Promote values and best‑practice procurement across the organisation.

About You
Certificate IV in Procurement (or equivalent)



or a minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar procurement environment.
Current Class C Driver Licence.
Experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management or stores operations.
Solid understanding of procurement policies, compliance and risk management.
Experience delivering training, guidance and support to stakeholders.
Ability to drive process improvements and work effectively in a busy operational setting.
Knowledge of Local Government procurement and tendering processes will be highly regarded.
Experience with budget administration, commercial purchasing or plant disposal practices is desirable.
