As a Legal Counsel at TAL, you’ll play an significant role in helping the business navigate complex legal and regulatory matters with confidence. Partnering closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll provide trusted advice that supports sound decision making, protects our customers and enables TAL to deliver on its purpose of helping Australians live a life filled with choices, options and freedoms. In This Role You Will:
Provide trusted legal advice that enables sound decision making across claims, underwriting and business operations.




Manage complex disputes and litigation to protect TAL’s interests and customer outcomes.
Guide the resolution of AFCA complaints and external disputes in line with legal and regulatory obligations.
Strengthen compliance by advising on the Life Insurance Code of Practice and evolving regulatory requirements.
Build legal capability across the business through practical guidance and targeted training.
Collaborate with stakeholders and legal teams to minimise risk and support commercial objectives.

Please note this is a 12-month fixed term contract.
