Aligned Search is partnering with a well-established organisation to support a key payroll compliance and remediation project.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll skilled who enjoys getting into the detail, identifying risk and driving meaningful improvements across payroll governance.
About the role:
Part time (3 or 4 days per week)
Project-focused role with real impact across compliance and governance
You’ll work closely with Finance, HR, and Payroll, to review current processes, identify gaps and support remediation initiatives
Role responsibilities:
Reviewing payroll rules, calculations and system configurations
Assessing compliance across awards, legislation and internal policies
Identifying risks, inconsistencies and potential underpayments
Supporting remediation planning and implementation
Strengthening payroll governance,
controls and processes
Documenting processes and driving system improvements
Partnering with key stakeholders and providing clear, practical recommendations
About you:
Solid experience across payroll compliance, governance or remediation
Deep understanding of Australian payroll legislation and modern awards
Experience in payroll audits, reviews or remediation programs
Ability to interpret complex pay rules (overtime, leave, super, etc.)
Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
Confident communicator who can engage and influence stakeholders
Experience with Employment Hero is highly regarded
