701 Recruitment is partnering with one of Australia's leading waste management companies, proudly Australian-owned and operating for over 30 years.
As Queensland's only high-temperature hazardous waste treatment facility, our client continues to grow and is looking for a reliable, trade-qualified Workshop Mechanic to join their maintenance team based in Willawong.
This is a hands-on workshop role where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of trucks, fixed plant equipment, the site's incinerator, and a range of on-site machinery to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities
Service, maintain and repair heavy vehicles and trucks
Perform preventative maintenance on fixed plant equipment
Diagnose and repair faults on workshop and site machinery
Assist with maintenance of the site's hazardous waste incinerator
Complete inspections and maintenance records
Work safely while maintaining a clean and organised workshop
To be successful you will have
Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic or similar
Experience servicing heavy vehicles, fixed plant or industrial equipment
Current Police Check (or willing to obtain) (MANDATORY)
Evidence of two COVID-19 vaccinations (MANDATORY)
Strong fault-finding and mechanical repair skills
Current driver's licence
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Solid commitment to workplace health and safety
