Job Description

Macs Engineering is a highly regarded light/medium engineering company and manufacturer and supplier of light vehicle and truck bodies, third party equipment, accessories and services to the mining, energy, infrastructure and Government sectors. Macs Engineering’s auto electrical division is looking for an experienced and qualified Automotive Electrician to join their agile and cohesive team in Mackay QLD. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
Extensive experience in auto electrics
The ability to perform change starters and alt motors for most vehicles and machinery




The capacity to service and repair vehicles auto air-conditioning both on and off site with limited or no supervision
Robust diagnostic and electrical safety equipment

Skills & Attributes:
At least 3 years’ experience as an automotive electrician
Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent
Ideally, you will be someone who goes the extra mile, has a passion for what you do and prides yourself on your reliability and quality for work
Ability to work in a team environment

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience Full time Position available Application opens on 22nd of July 2026 and closes on 22nd of August 2026.
