We're seeking an experienced Orthotist & Prosthetist to join a supportive hospital-based team in Alice Springs for a short-term role. This is an exciting prospect to broaden your clinical experience while enjoying everything Central Australia has to offer.
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor or Master's qualification in Prosthetics & Orthotics
Demonstrated experience in High-Risk Foot Management (essential)
Experience providing Interim and Definitive Prosthetic Management
Experience managing a diverse prosthetic and orthotic caseload independently
Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
Current membership with, or eligibility for membership with, the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA)
The Role Includes:
High-Risk Foot Management Clinics
Adult and Paediatric Orthotic Services
Inpatient and Outpatient Caseload
Amputee Rehabilitation ServicesProvision of Interim and Definitive Prostheses
Assessment, prescription, fitting and review of prosthetic and orthotic devices
Working as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
