HeXTalent is partnering with a longstanding Australian business, currently in a period of meaningful organisational change, to appoint an HR Analyst & Systems Administrator into their Melbourne CBD head office on a permanent 0.6 FTE basis (3 days per week).

This is the analytics-led seat within the HR function. Not an HR admin role with reporting on the side. It's a genuine workforce analytics and systems role, with the administration wrapped in.

The GM HR wants to move HR decisions from "we think this is happening" to "we know this is happening." This role is the engine of that shift.

What you'll actually do

Workforce analytics & reporting — dashboards, KPIs, trend analysis, ad-hoc leader reporting

HRIS administration — user access, workflows, first-line support, and helping shape a future HRIS decision

Data governance — quality audits, integrity, privacy compliance

Process improvement & project support — automation, UAT, HR project support

What we're looking for
Qualification in HR, Information Systems, Business, or Data Analytics
Experience with any HRIS platform (the GM HR is genuinely technology-agnostic)




Workforce reporting and data analysis experience
Advanced Excel — non-negotiable
Robust analytical mindset and attention to detail

Highly regarded: Power BI, SQL, Power Query, Power Automate; experience implementing or upgrading HR systems.

We're intentionally open on background — HR Analyst, HRIS Administrator, People & Culture Analyst, a Data Analyst with HR crossover, or an analytical HR Admin all welcome.

Package

Circa $80,000 FTE + super, pro-rated to 0.6 (~$48k actual + super). 3 days per week, ideally 2 of them in the office.

Screening & vetting with Jeff Teale (HeXTalent), then interviews with the GM HR and a senior executive stakeholder. References and pre-employment checks arranged by HeXTalent.
