Role Description
This is a full time, in office Gemstone Sales role based in Melbourne, VIC. The role involves engaging with wholesale customers, understanding their gemstone needs, and presenting suitable product options from a diverse inventory. Daily tasks include managing incoming inquiries, conducting in-person and phone consultations, processing web orders and following up on leads to build long-term relationships. The Gemstone Sales professional will maintain accurate product and customer records,
liaise with the warehouse and operations teams regarding stock and orders, and support merchandising and showroom display.
Qualifications
Strong communication and customer service skills to build trust, understand client needs, and provide professional support.
Proven sales experience, preferably in gemstones, jewellery, or luxury goods.
A gemmological qualification is advantageous. The successful candidate will have a valuable understanding of gemstone varieties and cuts and be eager to build their expertise in technical product knowledge.
Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and basic computer skills (e.g., CRM or order entry systems).
Ability to work on-site full time in Melbourne's CBD in a team-oriented wholesale environment.
Previous experience in wholesale, B2B sales, or the jewellery trade is preferred but not essential.
